I responded to this inquiry at the TEG forum... I had it installed on my now defunct Win7/Win8.1 64 bit machine with no problems. Yes, it can be used along with MBAM and your anti-virus software. I install it yesterday on my new Win8.1 64bit machine with no problems but I'm using Maxthon browser due to IE11 not "playing well" with some other software I use (Phase Express).
I don't know if it will provide protection for the Maxthon browser or not... nothing "blocked" so far in the log. The free version (which I installed) covers IE, FF, Chrome, Opera and JAVA. The paid for version can help protect many other product exploits.

Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (MBAE), formerly ExploitShield by ZeroVulnerabilityLabs, runs in the background and monitors popular applications, preventing vulnerabilities in software and browsers from being exploited. MBAE runs as a standard Windows Service instead of as a stand-alone EXE which used to be launched from the TaskScheduler. This architecture means that MBAE works in multi-user environments (multiple logged-on users and server environments) and it also limits the operations that non-admin users can perform. Therefore only admins can stop the protection, clear the logs or add/delete exclusions.
