As of today ceremonies and events of remembrance have already started. I have found a really nice website I thought I'd post. Memorial Day - HolidaysOn Monday, I will take a minute or two in silence for respect for those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. I'll think of my father, as he fought with his comrades in World War II and Korea; and all heroes from the previous conflicts that we've had, and still have. I'll remember them, say a prayer and honor them.

While we celebrate a "holiday" it is good to take some time to remember and thank those that have paid the highest price, for us to live the lives we have. Freedom, isn't free.
When I see a military person in a store or restaurant, a parking lot and I can approach them... I do and I thank them for their service and sacrifice. If they're with a family member, I thank them as well for their sacrifice. God Bless America.

By now, you might be thinking "wow, she really seems to be over doing Memorial Day?" I'm just working through missing my father. He died Memorial Day 2007. He will always be my hero. He served our country WWII and the Korean War. The Lord brought him home, so fortunate for me, my Mom and my sisters; and all those with which he touched so selfishly, never talking about the war, how it impacted him; only to push forth in live to give, honor, cherish and have one gale of a grand life. Love to all that are also remembering.
