Since this is the place to yack, let me share out that I am the proud mother of a son who has graduated from high school! Phew..what a 12 year ride! The eventful day was Thursday, 6/19 and with standing room only, 80+ degrees outside, many who had not shown up to practice; joyful cheers, tears and amazement, the ceremony went perfectly! I ask myself now, isn't that the way, the last performance of our now "independent" young individuals and no malfunctions! Now what? Feel free to enlighten me with what to expect post HS graduation? Breakfast in bed? Requests to be driven around? Advise on what to wear? How to hand write a thank you card, without hash marks or text code! At least there are still hugs, in fact, I think I've had more hugs in 48 hours than the past 4 years! :veryfunny:

Congratulations and welcome back.
I'd tell you what to expect but I don't even remember high school.

That's so true Webb..since it's a blur for me too! I had the unfortunate experience of attending college at 16 and never did have any sort of fan-fare when I had reached what would have been my high school equivalent! Prom? Grad night? Boyfriend? Say what? I'm still trying to find an adult school that actually has a formal graduation with cap and gown! Haaaa...I've been told I wouldn't pass the new math standards since Cuisenaire rods are no longer used! I appreciate your congratulations! I can sure say that parents seem to be real pleased to have their children graduate these days! There were so many guests, I felt like I might have placed a tracking device on my son to find him after the hat toss! Oh joy...of course a song has come to me: :celebrate:
